Hills Winter Lantern Festival
On the 15th of June, many people joined the magic of the Hills Winter Lantern Festival at the Echunga Community Park. It was a truly special night and I was very proud to see my creative mark all over the park. See a video of me painting a giant Rakali (water rat) lantern here. I also had a lot of fun running a ‘best beanie competition’ at the festival which was won by a very deserving lady who felted her beanie herself.
New Pencils
You might remember that I treated myself to some prismacolour pencils last month after an excellent botanical drawing workshop at The Cedars. I’ve had lots of fun playing around with them and experimenting with different techniques such as combining watercolour and pencil. I hope you enjoy, there will definitely be more to come!
Nature Journaling
I finished my nature journal this month, it’s such a wonderful book to look through and remember all my lovely times enjoying the environment. I’ll do a ‘Sketchbook Tour’ soon, make sure you’re subscribed to receive it.
Whisky Cheese and Charcoal
I treated myself to a delightful evening at The Ceders the other night. Playing around with charcoal is so much fun, I have no idea why I was so scared of it! Definitely more of this to come.
Collage Party
Oh my goodness, I had the most fun yesterday with a few friends and many magazines! I’ll definitely be doing this again, such a wonderful thing to do whilst socialising. See a video of me flipping through the whole book here.
