G'day from my Garden - May 2025

Growing life in the soil and in my body. ❤️

Hello lovely person! I’m feeling a little emotional as I write this latest instalment of ‘G’day from my Garden’. I just taught my last homeschool class and now I’m officially on self-inflicted maternity leave, probably for the rest of the year. The Mum’s were so sweet, and I feel as though I’ve been on the verge of tears since finishing the class. It’s hard to believe that I’m actually 35 weeks pregnant and that my life is about to change in ways I can barely imagine. I feel like I’m skirting on the edge of a precipice and the things that are keeping me very grounded are my garden and art. It’s a nurturing feeling knowing that I’m helping life grow in the soil and my uterus, what a gift. Anyway, without further adoo, here is my ‘G'day from my Garden’ letter for this month of May.

Hello little one, gardening with my bump.

Mint by my compost bin. I bought lots of different types that need planting.

Bush basil - needs to be planted!

I think that this zinnia has finally had it.

Beans are so sweet! I love watching them grow.

Other Nature Adventures

I had to drop Kyle at the airport one early morning in May and decided to do a pre-dawn walk at Morialta Conservation Park. It was so beautiful watching the sunrise over the city as I ate my breakfast.

Spontaneous pause with some salt and vinegar chips at Myponga reservoir… not much water!

I got to be a Dancing Monster (this dinosaur) the other night at the English Ale Festival in Mylor. A fun night celebrating the end of fire danger season and the start of cooler days.
