Eyre Peninsula Workshop Tour
A wonderful week of workshops and nature journaling along the Eyre Peninsula.
I just returned from a delightful week of workshops in the Eyre Peninsula, starting in Whyalla and ending in Pt Lincoln. Everyone I met was so lovely and thankful to me for sharing my art process with them. Most of the workshops were ‘Whimsical Watercolours’ - akin to the ‘Bizarre Birds’ class I recently posted on Substack and Australian Animal painting inspired by my Australian Animal A-Z Book. Here are some photos from Kimba and Cummins.

I was pretty busy teaching workshops while away, but I did manage to take some time to go for nice walks and sketch/write in my nature journal. Here are some of the pictures from my travels. Coffin Bay National Park truly blew me away, it was so untouched.

My nature journal really became my friend on my travels. I would chat to it whist sipping my coffee on a cafe and bring it out to sketch in in lots of beautiful locations. Drawing in my journal (even just a little sketch of my surroundings) ensured that I was truly present in each moment and didn’t miss the little beautiful things surrounding me.

While teaching a nature journaling workshop in Cummins, one lovely artist named Rosii Pedler invited me to stay in her holiday house in Tumby Bay. Her kindness followed me all the way home and I have a beautiful evening watching the sunset over the water. Naturally I left her a print and wrote in her guest book.
Finally, here are some finished pages from my journal.

Happy spring! With love and whimsy,
Zinia
