June 2024 Sketchbook - Packed with Collages

Hello lovely ones! Here’s a sneak peak into my sketchbook with lots of lovely artworks from June 2024. That month, I hosted a collage party and this book contains a lot of collages from that day. I found myself in a bit of creative frenzy as I discovered the wonderful joy of collage. I’ll do a little sneak peak of some of the artworks here and paid subscribers will be able to download the full sketchbook to download and browse at their leisure.

This sketchbook started normally enough, with notes and poems. I love this reminder to ‘wander with wonder in this weird and wonderful’ world. Sometimes we all need to slow down and consider how perfectly peculiar life is and how insignificant we are in the grand scheme of things.

. Of course, every time I challenge myself with a new technique I have to reward myself with a doodle!

And so begins the collage! Some of the pages in my sketchbook had doodles in them already, so I collaged around them. My favourite collage is this ballerina giving birth to some fish.

I even collaged a photo of myself as a flower creature, this would make an excellent painting!

There’s a real nostalgia to winter when you’re remembering it in the height of summer. I do prefer the warmer weather now though.

I’m honestly so pleased with every single collage in this book, a great example of being in the ‘creative flow’.
